Waggener Edstrom has grown rapidly to be one of the world’s leading consultancies specializing in communications and public relations. Due to growing global business needs, one newly created position has been added in our Lake Oswego, Oregon office.
Responsibilities:
As a Contract Administrator, you will be responsible for drafting, reviewing and negotiating a variety of standard purchase and sale agreements, master services agreements, consulting agreements, and other commercial agreements needed to support the business.
Negotiation experience with external vendors and experience in both commercial and international contracting preferred.
Experience and knowledge of the PR industry and business concepts, including pricing terms, revenue recognition, exposure and risk, as well as contract law concepts are also important.
You will work with internal clients to review agreements received from third parties or draft agreements to support an agency business need. You will be responsible for providing guidance to internal clients to ensure adherence to agency best practices.
You will be responsible for assisting internal clients with RFPs to vendors to support the agency’s purchasing needs.
You will also be responsible for ensuring that contractual commitments are met, including issuance of certificates of insurance, notice of termination, renewal expectations.
You will respond to internal inquiries and requests for assistance regarding interpretation of contractual obligations and revisions to existing agreements.
You will be responsible for interpreting and ensuring adherence to policies, procedures, laws and regulatory rulings.
You will manage projects that require collaboration with agency employees.
Experience formulating and recommending changes to policies and procedures highly desirable.
Qualifications:
Prior contract administration in a corporation. Requires a Bachelors degree or equivalent plus a minimum of 2-5 years related experience or law degree with 2-5 years related business experience
